My darling Kavya is 6 weeks old as of yesterday. This past week flew by - the first time in a long while that it has felt so fast. We are settling down to routine somewhat. Last night was the first night where she seemed to have settled down to actually sleep at night. She didn't sleep through the night, but she didn't spend time wide awake playing either. My mother-in-law is a huge help, I doubt I'd be getting as much done as I am right now if she wasn't here. I know I'd be getting waaaaay less sleep.
Kavya Camille arrived at 3:30 on September 13 pronounced (Kahv -yuh - it's sanskrit for poetry & poems) She weighted just 5 lbs 15 ounces (she's down even lower now). So much for all those big baby worries (the big worry with gestational diabetes).
Kavya and me shortly after the delivery.
Some pictures from home a few weeks ago. She's even bigger now - 3 weeks old on the 4th! Newborn babies are exhausting! Right now she's going through colicky periods about 3 times a day and also changing her nap pattern up a bit. I am beginning to feel normal, but every time that Ifeel like I am doing ok, she changes and something new happens.
