I often have a color combination crush - for a long time it was yellow and violet. But for a while now, it's been pink and green.
I've had friends tell me that pink and green clash. They are opposite on the color wheel, but as long as it is the right shade, the contrast works well.
So for GPP Crusade No. 12, here's a collection of pink and green in my art.
I actually just finished this today (before I read the challenge, actually, funny how that works). This was an ATC that I created - then I took the image and added a bunch of digital additions to spice it up. The swan is from Anahata Katkin's Bird Brain collage clips book.
Pink and green inchies - and so many different shades of pink and green.
I think this is where my pink and green infatuation began. This page was for a color journal swap we did. I can't remember who picked pink and green, but it was probably my favorite book to work in.
And I love how pink and green occurs in nature. This is one of my cosmos last year. Unfortunately, they did not return again this year and due to the nature of backaches in pregnancy, I really didn't get to plant many flowers this year.
Speaking of Baby, she's due in a week. I'm hoping she makes her appearance this week. Due to complications, I will have to be induced if she goes over. Which I don't look forward to. But at this late date in my pregnancy and because of everything that has happened, I just don't have the energy to fight the doctors on this. (So no lectures on the inducing, please.) But I'm really really hoping for this week.
ooooh! Pink and green...my new Fave Rave!

Color combinations fill my house and my poetry. Your art is beautiful! I have been addicted to tomato red with granny smith green, turquoise and silver, and mixing green and deep purple through the garden. Thanks for the inspiration.Jodi
