The scanner made this green a bit greener than it is.
I printed out some pictures of Kavya and me when she was just hours old. I used some frames that I downloaded from this nifty webpage. Search for Andrea's borders and you'll need photoshop. Then I did a photo filter with a dark brown - the photo filter command is something in Photoshop CS2 - I don't know if it is in earlier versions, I know I didn't have it in photoshop 6. But that gave the pictures a nice soft feel. And I got the tip on the photo frames from Dispatch from LA.
The flowers I sketched out with pen and ink on painted abstract acrylic backgrounds. And the stars came from putting on star stickers, apply the crayon color, and then removed the stickers. I think I am going to stop doing that with these star stickers tho, they are a pain to peel off and it takes up time I'd rather use on making art.
I love the effect of the peeled off star stickers, though, together with the ink embellishments that you added.
Maybe you'll find something that works easier than the star stickers you have been using.
